TVS – Thyristors
Thyristors are often referred to as solid state switches and have been around since the 1960s. The acronym stands for "Transistor–Voltage Sensitive Switch". They are direct current pivot devices which are capable of controlling large amounts of power. As such, they are extremely useful in many different industries.
