TVS - Mixed Technology
Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS) are specialized diodes used in electrical systems to protect against abnormal voltage transients, such as those caused by lightning strikes, power cross, electrostatic discharge (ESD) and induced electrical fields. Traditionally, TVSs have been made of either two diodes connected in series, or a single diode with a zener diode combination.
