Whenever the voltage or current exceeds a certain threshold, the sensitive gate is triggered by a comparator to open the main gate of the device. This in turn triggers the power triac, which connects the load to the power supply.The P2353AALRP features an adjustable trigger threshold, and a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The device also features a low “on” resistance, which reduces power consumption and increases the electrical efficiency of the system. Additionally, the device provides protections against overvoltage, overcurrent, and short-circuits. The device is also very reliable and is rated for a current rating of up to 23A and can handle up to 800V of AC operating voltage.
