Introduction of PBRC-4.00AR

PBRC-4.00AR is a high-performance radio frequency (RF) device which belongs to Resonators family. It is widely used in a variety of industries due to its unique configuration and excellent performance. Its dimensions are compact and it has a wide frequency range which can cover up to 4GHz. It is constructed of four ceramic pieces, namely, two resonator ceramic plates, a field plate, and a wiring board. It consist of a pair of conductive ends, a piezo-responsive ceramic substrate, and two output ports which greatly reduce the complexity of circuit design and make it suitable for wide range of applications.

Applications

PBRC-4.00AR is mainly used in wireless communication systems such as mobile phones, wireless local area networks (WLAN), and broadband wireless access (BWA) systems. It is commonly used as an oscillator network in wireless communication systems, and is capable of providing the desired frequency signal signal in the range of 4GHz. PBRC-4.00AR also works well in short-range systems such as Bluetooth, Zigbee and Ultrawide Band (UWB). Due to its high Q and small size, it is ideal for highly sensitive medical diagnostics.

Working Principle

The PBRC-4.00AR operates by coupling of two high-frequency signals, each one with its own impedance, to a piezoelectric substrate. Inside the substrate, two ceramic plates arranged in an alternating in alternating electric field are embedded. When electrical waves are applied, piezoelectricity is generated and charge displacement happens inside the substrate, which causes the electric fields to change and a response is generated as a result.The variations in the electrical fields cause the two ceramic plates to vibrate and generate synchronized waves which propagate along the two ends. The two ends are connected with a pair of conductive ends which act as output ports to transmit the signal. The waves generated have a high frequency and they have a very high Q value, which makes them ideal for applications in medical diagnostics where high sensitivity is required.
