Among them, PC725V0NIPXF is a photosensitive transistor optocoupler, and its application field and working principle are as follows.
Application Field
PC725V0NIPXF has two terminals, an input side LED and a photosensitive transistor on the output side. The LED emits visible light when a control signal is applied, and the collector-emitter circuit of the photosensitive transistor can be turned OFF or ON depending on the control signal level and intensity. This optocoupler can be used in a wide range of applications such as power control, process control, communications, computer interfaces, monitoring, signal isolation, bypassing and simulation.
Working Principle
The PC725V0NIPXF operates on the principle of optical isolation. When a voltage is applied to the LED, photons are emitted from the LED which are then absorbed by the photosensitive transistor. Depending on the intensity of the light, the base-emitter current of the transistor will either increase or decrease, thus controlling the switching action of the output. The PC725V0NIPXF also features a built-in protection diode on the output side to protect it from any spikes or surges in the output voltage.
The PC725V0NIPXF has a wide voltage range (6-30V) and can withstand up to 40V working voltage and 10kV peak voltage. Its dielectric strength is tested at 5kVrms and the output transistor can handle 350mA peak collector current. Additionally, the optocoupler has an excellent isolation resistance of 5x1012Ω at 500VDC, making it ideal for applications such as power control, process control, and signal isolation.
