PDM1-S5-S12-S Application Field and Working Principle

PDM1-S5-S12-S is a high-efficiency DC/DC converter, which mainly serves motor and control applications. It can convert 12 V/24 V input to 5 V/12 V/15 V output with a maximum power of 10 W. The product is widely used in automotive interior field.

The PDM1-S5-S12-S converter consists of a switching power supply, a control circuit and an output circuit. The switching power supply consists of an energy storage inductor, a transistor switch, a voltage regulator and a capacitor. The transistor switch acts as an electronic switch to turn on and off the inductor, storing and releasing energy accordingly. Meanwhile, the voltage regulator maintains the output voltage stable, while the capacitor act as a buffer, providing a more stable power supply. The control circuit drives the switch and modulates the output voltage. The output circuit provides the output voltage.
