PTC resettable fuses are a type of circuit protection device that prevents potential damage to electrical circuits from overload or short circuit conditions. For the PFRX.375, the application field and working principle is quite simple. This property allows the PFRX.375 to sense an overcurrent condition and immediately trip to the”off” state. The PFRX.375 uses a PTC element with a current rating of 1.6A, at 30°C in an ambient temperature range of between 10°C and 55°C.
The current rating of the PFRX.375 can be increased or decreased depending on the application. A high current rating will provide excellent protection against overcurrents, while a lower current rating will provide better protection against short-circuit conditions.
