The PI4IOE5V955LEX is a General Purpose Input / Output (GPIO) expander from Texas Instruments, used to extend the number of general purpose I/O pins, commonly found on microprocessors, on a circuit board. It provides an 8-bit parallel data-bus interface to connect up to 8 different input or output signals to a device.
