The PIM242 evaluation board has been designed to help simplify the development of solutions using intelligent power module technology. It is an expansion board tailored for use in power supply and motor control applications. An intelligent power module (IPM) is a self-contained power component solution for various motor and motion control applications.Its various functions are all integrated on a single power semiconductor device, which includes low-on resistance (RDS), snubberless driver, voltage reference, EMI filter, and current sense, among others. The user can also choose to add additional components including auxiliary parts like transformers, snubbers, drivers, and noise-reduction components, as well as inductors and capacitors. The evaluation board is compliant with the RoHS directive standards and has also been certified for safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
