PM610-02-RC is an array of signal transformers designed specifically for a wide range of applications. The working principle of the PM610-02-RC is based on the laws of inductive coupling, which states that the transfer of energy between two coils is proportional to the degree of electromagnetic coupling between them. By varying the resistance element on the taps, the degree of coupling between the two coils is adjusted and thus the transfer of energy is regulated.
The PM610-02-RC series features the patented “Combicore-24” technology which is a combination of three independent coils which are placed inside a single molded plastic case. The coils features multi-tap inductances and capacitances and enable optimal common-mode signal attenuation with minimal EMI generation. Additionally, the array features common-mode sense elimination which helps eliminate unnecessary EMI generated by the transformer.
The transformer is also designed to be integrated into system level components to further reduce circuit complexities. The array can be used with both power and signal based systems or as a standalone device due to its ability to handle both signals and power. This results in lower cost and higher performance when compared to other arrays.
