PNA2602M is an advanced type of optical sensor, a phototransistor, designed for industrial electricity companies. This device has a wide range of applications due to its high sensitivity and reliability. It is used for the detection of leakage current of suspended insulators. In addition, PNA2602M is also used to detect various forms of metering characteristics, including the amount and quality of electrical energy measured/distributed by the electrical distribution network.
In order to ensure accurate readings and consistent performance, PNA2602M applies complex optical sensing and measurement principles. This device contains an integrated optocoupler, which when separate from the PNA2602M, acts as the transmitter. The optocoupler consists of an LED and phototransistor couple. When an electric current passes through the LED, the light emitted is detected by the phototransistor, resulting in an electrical signal.
Furthermore, using a series of incredibly complex algorithms, the PNA2602M interprets the electrical signals into meaningful measurements. As part of its calibration process, PNA2602M measures the difference in electric current values between its two sensors, in various conditions. Using this comparison, the device is able to more accurately interpret the values obtained through its infrared emitted light.
Although PNA2602M is mainly used in electrical companies, it is also being researched for a variety of other applications.
