Application Field and Working Principle

The PRMAC-26X signal relays can be used in various applications, such as security control, access control, alarm systems, automotive equipment, measurement and control circuits, and so on. They are applicable to either AC or DC and operate with a rated voltage of 12/24/240/380VAC or DC.

The working principle of PRMAC-26X is based on a single coil DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw) contact structure. The contact form has two sets of Normally Open (NO) and Normally Close (NC) contacts which can be switched by applying a voltage to the coil. When the voltage is applied to the coil, the contact changes from its originally off state both in terms of its current flow and its mechanical indicators.

The power consumed by the coil is proportional to the square of the applied voltage and the contact of the relay will not turn off unless the applied voltage is below a certain value. Also, the operating temperature of the PRMAC-26X relay should remain within the range of -25℃ to +85℃. The contact resistance of the relay does not exceed 30mΩ and the terminals feature secure tying for insulation.

The PRMAC-26X signal relays are built to last up to 1,000,000 operations and have an adjustable time between operations. The size of the relay is compact, measuring 23mm x 22 mm x 18.9 mm, and the electromagnetic force of the coil is a maxmum of 30mN. Lastly, the contacts of the relay are rated to carry an operating current of up to 2,000 Amps.
