The switch is actuated by First Moment Contact, meaning that when the button is depressed, the contacts will close when the button is first pressed, then open as the button is released. The body of the switch is a plastic housing, with a metal contact bar held in place by two metal tabs. The contact bar has two contact points that can be connected to two different circuits at the same time. When the switch is in the NC position, the two metal tabs are disconnected from the contact bar, breaking the electrical connection.
