DC-DC Converters

DC-DC converters are electronic devices used to convert a DC voltage from one value or level to another. PT6441C Application Field and Working Principle

The error is used to switch the power switch “ON” or “OFF” to maintain a constant output voltage. The frequency of the switching is set by an external resistor. In the valley current mode, the minimum inductor current is sensed and compared with a reference voltage. When the sensed current is below the reference voltage, the power switch is turned “ON” to maintain the output voltage. The PT6441C is also equipped with short-circuit and over-temperature protection, which makes the converter highly reliable and efficient.
