DC-DC Converters are an efficient, critical component of low-voltage power systems. The PT6604E DC-DC Converter is designed to provide highest power density and efficiency for regulated point-of-load (POL) solutions, such as applications in computing, data storage, networking, industrial and automotive environments. This on-chip advanced power management device provides the highest performance and efficiencies available in the industry today.

The PT6604E features an advanced 6A maximum peak current buck regulator, an integrated 5A power switch, and integrated low-power linear regulator control. It simplifies power solutions by providing an instant, high-efficiency, low-cost, single-package solution for POL architectures. This device is ideal for high-efficiency, low-cost, and compact solutions in the LCD TV, LED backlight, and notebook hybrid platforms.

The PT6604E utilizes switching frequency and phase dimming to achieve the highest efficiency and performance over a wide load range. The switching frequency can be adjusted in order to minimize switching losses without sacrificing SKY to reduce EMI. Furthermore, the phase dimming feature helps to improve transient load performance.

The PT6604E features an advanced, integrated power switch to allow digital or analog control of the output voltage. This allows for easy and efficient control of the power delivery to the load. This device is also designed to reduce the solution size of buck regulator with a single package size. Furthermore, the device has a low output voltage ripple and is capable of providing a clean regulated output voltage.

The efficiency of this device is further increased by its integrated power switch. The 5A input power switch ensures that the output power switch is always kept in the ON state even during peak surge events.
