It integrates a common-mode transformer and a full-bridge rectifier circuit, providing a high dc-dc conversion efficiency of up to 88%. The converter is an integrated solution which eliminates the need for manually wiring and soldering components for system integration.The PT6645F features an advanced design structure which simplifies computing complexity. It comprises of a 4-phase digital control loop with unique parameters that enable precise control of the power conversion process. The power transfer system consists of a digitally controlled power converter, transformer, switching devices, external components and timing circuit. The combination of these components allow for a highly efficient power conversion process.In addition, the PT6645F integrates a variety of protection and control features, such as overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, thermal protection, soft-start, and linear/pulse frequency modulation (PFM) control modes. The overvoltage protection ensures that the output voltage will remain stable in the event the input voltage exceeds the designed level. The undervoltage protection prevents the converter from supplying the output in the event the input voltage is lower than the configured voltage. The thermal protection feature shuts the system down automatically should the PT6645F exceed the set maximum operating temperature. The soft-start feature helps prevent the over-current surge of the system by gradually increasing the output voltage over a few seconds.
