These include: over-current protection, under-voltage lockout protection, over-temperature protection, and over-voltage protection. The over-current protection prevents overloads and short-circuits by shutting off the output when the current exceeds a certain threshold. The under-voltage lockout protection prevents unwanted startup of the converter when the input voltage is too low. The over-temperature protection shuts down the converter when the temperature of the system exceeds a certain threshold.
