PT8A2512NE is an optocoupler chip form Princeton Technology Corporation. It is a high-performance type isolated television signal processor of a microcontroller special IC. This chip can transfer digital signal of low-voltage circuit to optical signal of high-voltage circuit, then achieve non-interference of different circuit.
In terms of application field, PT8A2512NE is mainly used in non-interference switch of various digital signals. The application fields include audio-frequency circuits, video circuits, computer peripheral devices and intelligent control systems. It has various advantages such as easy control, high precision and fast response.
The sensing element of PT8A2512NE is a 4-pin optocoupler. It includes four parts, the sensor module, light-emitting diode, thermistor and power amplifier output terminal. Additionally, it has chip enable terminal to indicate the transmission of optical signals.
In terms of working principle, PT8A2512NE optocoupler element is in a closed loop. In a normal state, the light-emitting diode works and the thermistor contacts the power amplifier output terminal. When the external digital signals are inputted into the chip, the chip enables the light-emitting diode to send out optical signals. It will be intercepted by the sensor module, and then be converted into low level signals and outputted through the power amplifier output terminal. Therefore, the input digital signals can be transmitted to a target control circuit reliably and non-interference.
