Working Principle

The PV3F2B0SS-311 is designed to provide a basic control function by connecting a control voltage to one set of contacts when the switch is pressed and breaking the connection when it is released. The coil is initially pulled by a permanently installed spring to the ON position, and when it is depressed the switch will be in the OFF position.

The switch contacts are designed to achieve high levels of performance with low contact resistance and high mechanical and electrical life expectancy. The contacts also feature a wiping action that helps to clear the contact surfaces from any contaminants, significantly extending the switch life.

In addition to its long life expectancy, the PV3F2B0SS-311 is an exceptionally safe switch, with an insulation resistance of 50MΩ between the contact and the coil and a dielectric strength of 2500V AC for 1 minute.
