PZC17DAFN (DFN17) is a power / signal connector with a duo lock type system. It consists of three pieces: a metal housing, insulator and two male pins. The metal housing and insulator pieces provide mechanical and environmental protection (IP65/67 rated) for the two male pins, which are separately used for power / signal connections.

Application Field

Working Principle

The PZC17DAFN connector is designed to provide a secure and reliable connection between two pans. It is designed with a modular construction, allowing for easy installation of the male pins into the insulator and then into the housing. Once fitted, the pins are locked together with a duolock type system. This ensures a secure connection and a reliable electrical and environmental connection between the two pans.

The two male pins are made from plated brass and designed with slots which hold the positioning tabs that are integrated into the insulator. This prevents the pins from being accidentally disconnected. The pins are also designed with two recessed slots which lock the pins in place once they enter the insulator. This provides a secure connection and a good ground.

In addition, the PZC17DAFN offers a waterproof and dustproof connection due to its IP65/67 rating. The metal housing is made from plated zinc alloy, and the insulator is made from UL 94V-0 compliant PBT plastic.
