QPI-11LZ type smart sensor is a kind of accessory for operation automation, and plays an important role in industry manufacturing. A prime example is level control. To ensure the consistent production and safe function of the process, this kind of sensor is widely applied in tanks and other vessels to measure the level and maintain the fluid at the desired height.
QPI-11LZ smart sensor features a multi-platform design, with a rated voltage of 24VDC and able to use both analog and frequency signals. It is extremely reliable due to its strong capability of environmental resistance to vibration, dust, damp, etc. Furthermore, it is easy to install and use, and is able to work in either automated or manual mode.
The smart sensor has a working principle utilizing an electrical probe to determine the liquid level. This probe has a stainless steel construction with a magnetic reed switch, so that when a liquid level passes the probe, the resistance level of the conductive medium will cause the reed switch to close, thus indicating the presence of liquid. The resistance level of the conductive medium is then used to determine the amount of liquid present.
For smooth functioning, there are two types of working modes for the QPI-11LZ smart sensor, namely, the liquid level display mode and the liquid level switch mode. In the liquid level display mode, the actual liquid level within the tank is displayed on the display by using quantized values for the liquid level. In the liquid level switch mode, an alarm or control signal is generated by the sensor when the liquid level reaches a pre-defined threshold level. These two working modes can be used together for monitoring and controlling liquids in any industry environment.
The QPI-11LZ smart sensor is an accessory used extensively in automation industry.
