Working Principle
The QT510-ISSG working principle is based on the integration of two sensing technologies. It utilizes the self-stabilizing and cross-sensing capabilities of a capacitive touch panel to generate a reliable and accurate touch detection.
The built-in sensor consists of a conductive aluminum plate, which is separated from the plated electrodes by a dielectric surface. When a capacitive touch surface approaches within a predetermined distance to the aluminum plate, the electrostatic force between them forms a capacitance.
The QT510-ISSG multi-touch function also applies on both multi-point and multi-zone touch sensing. When a finger or object approaches the touch panel, a capacitive coupling force is formed between it and the sensor. A change in capacitance or conductance will be detected by the touch system, and then the voltage will be converted into a digital signal and reported to an external MCU.
