Through Hole Resistors

A through-hole resistor has two metal pins with the resistance material sandwiched in between. These resistors are typically used as a single single element in a simple through-hole circuit board. The advantage of this is that it allows for a greater level of flexibility with layout, as the design does not need to take the element’s shape into account. Through-hole resistors can also be used as a part of a larger circuit component such as a socket or bus bar.
