Light-emitting diode (LED) indications are employed for a wide range of applications requiring discreet, visible, and accurate status display. Each device offers a low power consumption of 0.5 mA and a voltage range of 2.0 to 3.6V.

The basic principle behind the R5YDL family of LEDs is that when placed in a circuit the LED will emit a visible, yet discreet light when current flows through it.
