The REC5-0515SRW/H2/A/M/CTRL is a DC DC converter designed for (but not limited to) applications using high-power radio frequency (RF) circuits. This converter provides outstanding performance characteristics in RF circuits, and is suitable for low-noise, high-reliability applications.
This converter has a wide input supply voltage range of between 3.3 and 15V, with an output voltage range of up to 28V. It can provide a maximum peak-to-peak power of 5W. The device also features a slow start-up circuit, redundancy in case of faults, under-voltage lockout, short-circuit protection, circuit current inrush protection, external bias pin, and a temperature shut-down.

The REC5-0515SRW/H2/A/M/CTRL is a buck-boost converter using a flyback topology. The input current is adjusted by Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) or Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) based on the feedback loop signals. When the input voltage is higher than the output voltage, it operates in buck (step-down) mode. When the input voltage is lower than the output voltage, it operates in boost (step-up) mode. The input voltage is continually monitored and adjusted in order to maintain the output voltage within the specifications determined by the user.
