The pulse width modulated boost converter regulates the input voltage which is then supplied to the buck loop that contains another two switching loops. The first loop contains a power N-MOSFET, the duty cycle of which is controlled by a control IC, the second loop contains a power P-MOSFET and a low-pass low ESR output capacitor.
