Power management integrated circuit (PMIC) voltage reference devices are designed to provide noise-free and ultra-stable DC reference voltages suitable for a variety of analog and digital integrated circuit applications. The REF2041AIDDCR is a programmable precision voltage reference device that can output three accurate, noise-free reference voltages with adjustable range of 0.2 V to 5 V and resolution of 0.001 V.

The REF2041AIDDCR features a temperature-compensated voltage bandgap and current source topology, programmability with low voltage, low power consumption, high accuracy and very wide output voltage range. It provides active output voltage adjustment over the dual 0.2 V to 5 V range with steps up to 0.001 V. Internal current sources are matched and trimmed to ensure consistent and accurate outputs over the range of temperatures.

The REF2041AIDDCR programmable voltage reference device is intended for a variety of general purpose applications, such as amplifier offset voltage adjustment, temperature measurement and control, power supply monitoring and control, and various analog system design and sensor calibration. It is also extremely suitable for applications including portable data and consumer electronics, handheld and low power systems, and white goods and industrial equipment.

The REF2041AIDDCR operates from a single supply voltage from 2.7 V to 6 V and its control logic interface is compatible with standard external control signals. Its working principle is simple yet effective. With two onboard control pins, VREF and VREFH, users can adjust the reference voltage and can also shut down the device when needed. The voltage range is adjusted with the presence or absence of VREF, while the resolution is adjustable with the presence or absence of VREFH.

The REF2041AIDDCR features open, voltage and current source outputs, which ensure the most reliable and accurate reference voltages are provided. The device also has an active output voltage adjustment with a range of 0.2 V to 5 V, ensuring that it can accurately maintain the voltage output under dynamic loading conditions.

The REF2041AIDDCR has an excellent temperature stability, achieving a typical accuracy of 0.1 % over the full temperature range due to its bandgap voltage reference and current source circuitry. It also provides outstanding noise-rejection characteristics and ensures a constant reference output over a wide temperature range.
