Working Principle

RFB350-48S12-R5J utilizes the time varying nature of an inductor in order to convert a DC input into a regulated DC output. It uses a switching regulator and an inductor to form a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) circuit. The input voltage is fed into the converter, where the switch of the converter is open in the beginning. At the next instant the switch is closed.This causes the inductor to store energy and increase its current, and a voltage drop forms across its internal resistance as the magnetic field increases. This energy is then dissipated into the transformer as power is transferred to the output.The voltage is rectified and a filter is used for the output for good regulation.
