RM 10 Application Field and Working Principle

The RM 10 is a heavy-duty silicon diode used for rectification in high current applications. It is often found in rugged industrial equipment where robust assembly techniques are important. The RM 10 is capable of handling currents up to 40 amps and peak voltages of 600 volts. Its operating temperature range is -45°C to + 125°C while the storage temperature can extend up to +150°C.

The RM 10 has a single construction and is composed of two main components, the positive and negative electrode. The positive electrode is the anode, which is the electrical contact made to the cathode (negative electrode).
