The RNS1C220MDS1JT is a surface mount type, low ESR aluminum–polymer capacitor which offers high performance in a wide range of small to medium applications. The RNS1C220MDS1JT uses a hybrid construction which combines the best of both aluminum and polymer capacitors. Its construction consists of two aluminum plates and a solid polymer layer. The positive and negative electrodes are made of polyphenylene sulfide film and are filled with Aluminum-Polymer matrix material. This solid polymer layer offers low Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) and high capacitance in a small size.
