Through Hole Resistors

A through hole resistor is a electrical component with resistor characteristics meant for the application in through hole technology. It is mainly used to adjust currents and divide voltages in electronic circuits as well as it can be used to reduce interference and prevent voltage spikes. The through hole resistor consists of two leads of metal extending from the component body. This allows the resistor to be inserted into a printed circuit board (PCB) and electrically connected by soldering the leads into the appropriate holes.
