This in turn causes an increase in the nonlinear resistance of the non-capacitance layer, resulting in a clamping action. The oxide layer provides additional protection from EMI by absorbing some of the electric field.The ROV20-751K can effectively handle surges in the range of 1500V/s – 3500V/s, which is quite suitable for protection from EMI and transients.
