The RPM40-1205SG is a high efficiency, synchronous rectifier, step down DC to DC converter with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 40V and an output voltage range of 0.6V to 32V. It has a maximum output power of 340W, output current of 18A and a switching frequency of up to 1MHz. The RPM40-1205SG is designed with a low loss synchronous rectifier which boasts low steady-state power dissipation and higher conversion efficiency, providing as much as 94% efficiency at a given load.

The RPM40-1205SG DC to DC converters operate over a wide input voltage range and provide high conversion efficiency. The synchronous rectifier enables a very low standby current, resulting in power saving of up to 97%. This application field is especially suited to battery powered systems, as the high efficiency of the buck converter can help prolong battery life.

The RPM40-1205SG DC to DC converter is designed with two packages, TO-263 and TO-220. The TO-263 package is designed for space-saving applications where hot-spot temperature must be carefully monitored. The TO-220 package is suitable for applications where maximum thermal performance is desired.

The RPM40-1205SG DC to DC converters have protection against input-output reverse polarity, output overvoltage and output short circuit. The over temperature and current limit is indicated by a status dynamic LED indicator light. The converter also has various optional enable/disabled protection function.
