It is compliant with MIL-STD-1275D, with increased voltage and power handling capabilities when compared to other conventional DC-DC modules.RPMD60-4812SG/N mainly applies to flyback and buck-boost topology transformers. As a flyback transformer, the switch will be turned on and off alternately; when it is on, the coil will be charged until the secondary diode is blocked, so the voltage induced in the coil will be blocked. When the switch is off, the energy stored in the coil will be used to transmit the output power through a series of other transfers to achieve the DC power conversion.As a buck-boost transformer, the circuit switches are high frequency switching transistors, and there are three different pulse states in operation. During the first pulse, the primary is energized and the output voltage is increased; in the second pulse, the primary and secondary are energized and the output voltage is changed; and in the third pulse, the output voltage is decreased. In the end, all these operations result in a regulated DC output.To deliver quality products with a reliable performance, RPMD60-4812SG/N co-operates with other components. It uses PWM and linear control to maintain a clean output voltage, but occasionally requires an additional filter circuit.
