Through-hole resistors are electronic components that reduce the passage of current through a circuit. The RR03J12RTB through-hole resistors, manufactured by Ohmite and distributed by Riedon, are rated at 1,250 watts and offer superior performance and reliability for a variety of applications. This resistors are also characterized by their high heat dissipated per power rating and their low thermal runaway values.
RR03J12RTB through-hole resistor have two main parts, the element and the body package. The element is composed of a wire wound filar (or mandrel) and ceramic, mica or even glass insulators. Both the elment and the body package are encased in a cylindrical or rectangular-shaped body that is then inserted into the PCB. The body package has the necessary contact points for making electrical connections to the circuit.
The Ohmite RR03J12RTB through-hole resistor offer superior performance for a variety of applications due to their wide operating temperature range and their high surge capability. This resistor has a maximum operating temperature of 300°C and has a tolerances of ±5%.
