Working Principle

Aluminum-polymer capacitors are made of a dielectric material that is composed of a polymer and an aluminum coating. The aluminum coating forms the anode and the polymer layer, the cathode. The two layers are separated by a thin, non-conductive barrier, resulting in capacitance between electrodes, which stores electrical energy.
