RTC2-0505SRW-R is a type of DC DC converter. It converts a DC voltage to another DC voltage with a specific output current. This device has an input voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V and an output voltage range of 1.2V to 3.4V. It can provide up to 0.2A output current.

Application Field

Working Principle

RTC2-0505SRW-R uses the dual source pulse width modulation (PWM) control method. The dual source PWM controller has two signal sources. The main source signals the inductor current to keep the inductor at its peak value during every switching cycle. The secondary source is used for loop compensation and current-mode control. This allows the device to control the output voltage accurately over a wide range of input andline/load conditions.

To ensure that the output voltage stays within the specified range, this device has a Thermal-over-Load Protection (TOLP) feature. This feature senses the operating temperature of the device and increases the peak current limit and/or reduces the output voltage to prevent damage to the device during over-load conditions.
