The terminals of the RUE250 is made of nickel-plated brass, which is very solid and stable.The working principle of a PTC Resettable Fuse is usually the same, regardless of type. It is composed of two components, a Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) element and a Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) element. When the current applied to the PTC element increases beyond a certain threshold, there will be a sharp rise in temperature as energy is dissipated in the element. This causes a further increase in temperature in the NTC element, tripping the fuse’s operational circuit. This will drastically reduce the current, thus protecting the circuit from overloads or short-circuits. When the device cools, the process rewinds and the fuse is ready to be used again.RUE250 is a fast acting PTC Resettable Fuse that has current range from 0.06A to 2A.
