The S-1000C20-M5T1G is an advanced, highly integrated power management and control IC (PMIC) and an integral part of the versatile, reliable, and energy-efficient Supervisors. It is designed to integrate multiple power management and control functions into a single integrated device and to reduce PCB area, cost and increase system reliability.
As a leading PMIC, the S-1000C20-M5T1G is a unique chip offering unprecedented levels of integration and flexibility as compared to other similar chips. By integrating multiple (and sometimes even competing) power management and control functions into a single device, the S-1000C20-M5T1G achieves a greater system efficiency, simplifies board layout, and reduces power consumption.
The S-1000C20-M5T1G provides a robust, efficient and reliable platform for supervising multiple power sources and controlling entire system power consumption. It provides a wide range of features, including power sequencing, system monitoring, current limit control, over-current protection, over-voltage protection, inrush current control, and current sharing between multiple sources.
The S-1000C20-M5T1G supports a wide array of interfaces, such as I2C, SPI, JTAG, and USB. This enables customers to integrate the S-1000C20-M5T1G into their existing development systems or custom-designed boards. With its fast response time and wide input range, it is well-suited for modern integrated applications such as low-power IoT - Internet of Things, Wearables, Automotive and Industrial applications.
The S-1000C20-M5T1G offers five independent regulator subsystems for multi-rail power design, and each rail can be configured to adjust its output voltage according to the conditions required by the system loads. The S-1000C20-M5T1G also provides a comprehensive set of power system monitoring features such as VIN Monitoring, Thermal Shutdown, System Up and Down Delay monitoring, Input Voltage Over-Current (OC) Protection, Output Rail under-voltage/over-voltage Protection, and System Reset output.
In addition to its advanced power management, the S-1000C20-M5T1G also provides enhanced electronic functions such as hardware and software reset generation, System Control Fault Warming Reset, and watchdog on die. This helps ensure system reliability and robustness and encourages early detection of any abnormal system states.
