Working Principle

The S-1000N15-I4T1U has three pins required for the operation in an electronic device. They are VIN, VCC, and EN. The input power (VIN) is the main power supply for the IC. After the IC is connected to the power supply and the power is turned on, the EN pin is pulled low so that the IC can detect the voltage drops of the power supply. When the voltage of VIN drops below the preset value, the IC will start a timer. If the timer reaches the preset time, the IC will then output a high on its output pin, which is connected to the PWRON pin of the power supply. The power supply then shuts off, thus protecting the internal circuit and components of the device.
