Additionally, the S-1009C40I-M5T1U can be used to monitor up to three input pins and to issue an interrupt signal on any one of them. This allows the system to detect faults in the power supply, other peripheral devices such as a modem, or in the processor itself. This device also supports a 10-step dynamic current scaling, programmed through an I2C interface.
