Working Principle

The S-1131B31UA-N4QTFG voltage regulator works on the principle of negative linear regulation. It is a three-terminal adjustable regulator. It works by using a control voltage/logic signal which is fed in as an input to the regulator. The control voltage/signal input is compared to an internal reference with the same voltage value. The difference between the two voltages is called voltage difference. When the voltage difference is too great, the regulator adjusts the output voltage to maintain the desired output voltage.When the control voltage/signal input is below the reference voltage, the output voltage is increased and the output voltage is decreased when the input is above the reference voltage. The S-1131B31UA-N4QTFG has the capability to adjust its output voltage down to an average of -0.3V at a maximum current of 800mA.The S-1131B31UA-N4QTFG also has TTL shutdown capability which enables it to be turned off and on by a logic signal.
