The S-1167B32-M5T1U base-emitter junction of the voltage regulator transistor is controlled by a voltage reference source and an external load resistor. When the voltage at the base-emitter junction is below the reference voltage and the LIM line is low, the base-emitter junction is biased to the maximum current level and the power is controlled by the LIM line. The S-1167B32-M5T1U features excellent line and load regulation characteristics as well as integrated protection features such as current limit, thermal shutdown, and reverse protection.
