The S-1167B40-I6T2G is a high quality linear voltage regulator module part of a series of high-performance three-terminal single output adjustable products. It provides cost-effective and reliable voltage regulation especially designed for telecom, servers, storage and industrial equipment.The S-1167B40-I6T2G is a highly efficient device designed to provide clean, low-noise and easily adjustable output voltage levels ranging from 0.5V to 10V. The output voltage can be programmed through an external resistor with a high precision of +/- 2mV. The linear regulator provides a maximum output current up to 600mA. It switches to a low current, reduced noise, mode of operation to lower the total ripple and noise in output voltage below 0.1mVpp. This feature makes this device particularly suitable for use in telecom and datacom applications requiring low noise signals.The S-1167B40-I6T2G uses a voltage feedback loop with a level – shifting circuit to ensure reliable and stable start-up operation. Its internal MOSFETs provide high efficiency operation up to 90%. It features two on-chip, low-side current sensing resistors that monitor the output current and protect the device from overload and IN/OUT differential pressure. The device also offers temperature- tolerance protection, reverse leakage protection and input under-voltage protection.The S-1167B40-I6T2G is a low-dropout, three-terminal device making it ideally suitable for a wide variety of applications such as AV equipment, Industrial Control, Computers and Servers, Battery-Powered Products and Automotive Electronics. In addition, it also has a low electromagnetic interference (EMI) footprint, making it suitable for use in space-constrained applications where high output current is required.The S-1167B40-I6T2G\'s working principle is based on an internal voltage regulator circuit and a voltage reference. The internal regulator circuit consists of an N-channel MOSFET, an adjustable reference voltage, and a feedback loop. This produces a regulated voltage from an input voltage source, which can be adjusted by the external resistor. Internally, two on-chip, low-side current sensing resistors are also used for monitoring the output current and for protection against overloads and IN/OUT differential pressure.The S-1167B40-I6T2G is an ideal device for supplying regulated supply voltages in a wide range of applications.
