The S-1200B21-A6T1U is an ultra-low drop-out (LDO) linear voltage regulator that uses a Feedback Negative Voltage (FNV) regulation scheme. The device achieves this by controlling the gate-source voltage of an N-channel MOSFET and allowing it to pass a certain amount of current at any given time.When the input voltage to the regulator is greater than the output voltage, the FNV voltage maintains the output voltage at the set level by controlling the gate voltage of the MOSFET. When the input voltage falls below the output voltage, the FNV voltage is reduced, resulting in less current conduction through the MOSFET and therefore less output current. This results in the regulator dropping out at a lower voltage than most other LDOs.The S-1200B21-A6T1U also features a wide adjustable output voltage range, superior transient response and excellent PSRR performance. This enables it to deliver highly accurate and consistent power supply regulation in a wide range of applications, even in the presence of a noisy input source.
