The main functional parts of the S-13R1C23-A4T2U3 include a precision reference, high-bandwidth error amplifier, resistive feedback divider, high-side MOSFET driver and current-limited power FETs.The operation of the S-13R1C23-A4T2U3 can be divided into three stages. First, the reference voltage is compared to the regulation feedback voltage and the difference is amplified. The second stage is the error amplifier. This amplifies the difference between the reference voltage and feedback voltage to control the MOSFET. At the third stage, the output voltage is regulated to the needed value.The error amplifier controls the high-side MOSFET to either turn on or turn off the path between the input and the output voltage. When there is current needed for the output, the MOSFET turns on and the input voltage passes through the power FETs to create the output voltage. If the voltage is not needed, the MOSFET turns off and current no longer passes through the power FETs, minimizing the consumption power lost in stand-by mode.The S-13R1C23-A4T2U3 is a cost-effective linear voltage regulator that provides reliable, low voltage power supply regulation.
