Working Principle

The S-80819CLY-Z2-U is designed to sense a single power supply voltage to achieve system level monitoring and protection. The bi-level reset output delay can be set between 2.2ms and 3.2ms, and the voltage supervisor is specified to be accurate within +-15mV. It can also detect voltage drops under -20mv, which provides protection against loss of power supply.

The integrated watchdog timer has both internal and external modes of operation. In the internal timer mode, the S-80819CLY-Z2-U can be programmed for timeout values from 4ms to 655s. In the external mode, the timer can be triggered from an external source. The reset output is issued if the watchdog timer is not serviced within the time-out period.
