The S-80940CNMC-G9AT2G is a supervisor IC specifically designed to address the needs of power monitoring and when used in an applicable system, can provide an effective solution for power supply lasting stability and reliability.

The S-80940CNMC-G9AT2G is designed for applications in a variety of technology, including data communications, printing, application-specific ICs (ASICs), computer systems, automotive electronics and industrial controls. The S-80940CNMC-G9AT2G supervisor IC provides two monitor circuits with two traditional voltage input types: 6, 8 and 10V. The two monitor circuits together, provide information on the power status to the users. Both circuits are triggered after comparison of the threshold value. The first circuit provides an output signal to confirm that the voltage applied is correct, and the other circuit provides an output signal to show the device is in a low-power state, or when a fault occurs.

The S-80940CNMC-G9AT2G supervisor IC is designed to operate from a single 2.6 to 5.5V supply voltage and uses very low power. The extremely low power consumption of the entire chip makes it ideal for portable and battery-operated applications. The chip has an operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C.

The S-80940CNMC-G9AT2G supervisor IC utilizes an internal reference voltage of 1.2V, an Input Buffer for each of Voltage Input 1 and 2, comparators and delay circuitry. Three time delays that can be adjusted, and four output pins. The first output pin is an active low fault signal (FLT) when the voltage is below the set threshold and then transitions to an active high fault signal when the voltage is above the reset threshold. The second output is an active low Power Good (PG) signal that is asserted when the voltage exceeds the reset threshold.

The S-80940CNMC-G9AT2G supervisor IC also includes a FIFO (First In First Out) Buffer with four output pins that can be used to output a warning signal and two low power signal pins (LPL1 and LPL2). The warning signal pin and the two low power signal pins can be used to output information when the device is entering or exiting a low power state. The fourth output pin is an active low RESET pin that is used to reset the circuit when the voltage goes below the set threshold.
