It provides power-on reset, system reset and brown-out reset functions and is able to detect instantaneous power interruptions or power decreases for efficient and secure system protection. This IC provides a wide range of supply voltage ranges, from 1.8V to 5.5V.Applications of S-80940CNMC-G9AT2U supervisory IC include servers, cloud servers, embedded systems, data storage, networking, automotives, automated industrial machines and more. This IC can also be used in combination with a real time clock to offer better system stability and longer system lifespan. In addition, its built-in timekeeper function provides time-based shutdown protection, acting as a failsafe mechanism in case of power failure or blackout.The S-80940CNMC-G9AT2U IC operates with an external voltage reference for voltage window comparison. The monitoring voltage is compared with a separate positive and negative reference voltage, and an internal compactor circuit is used to protect against overvoltage. The devices integrate an open-drain power-on reset output and two open-drain system reset outputs with an adjustable delay time.
