An internal MOSFET for power switching enhances the drain efficiency.The 3-mode control is enabled through a single EN pin, and allows for one-time setting and minimal design constraints. A CS pin allows the user to directly control the soft-start duration, eliminating the need for an external RC components. The S-8337ACBA-P8T1G also features a fast-skip protection that switches the current limit on when the load current is too low or too high.The S-8337ACBA-P8T1G’s built-in current limiter shuts it down if the power MOSFET’s source current exceeds the programmed limit. Identification of a short circuit condition is provided via an overcurrent comparator.
